At Nail Mami, we exclusively use Aprés Gel-X, the original soft gel extension system trusted by nail professionals worldwide for its exceptional quality, comfort and durability. Unlike acrylic, Aprés Gel-X is lightweight, flexible and odour-free, while still providing beautiful strength and long-lasting wear. The soft gel tips are designed to create a natural-looking enhancement without unnecessary bulk. For the best fit, structure and retention, natural nails must be trimmed short prior to Gel-X application. During curing, some clients may experience a brief heat spike under the lamp. This is a normal part of the curing process and typically lasts only a few seconds. With proper care and maintenance, Aprés Gel-X can last 2–4 weeks and is removed by soaking off rather than aggressive filing. Daily cuticle oil and good aftercare will help maximise retention and keep your nails looking their best between appointments.

Gel-X Signature includes a detailed e-file manicure, Gel-X application or infill and one colour finish. Examples: A solid Colour - Milky nude, sheer pink, cherry red, chocolate brown, black, white + more. Gel-X Plus includes a detailed e-file manicure, Gel-X application or infill and 1 art element. Examples: French tips, cat eye, aura nails or ombré. Chrome overlay can be added for an additional $10. Gel-X Detailed Art includes a detailed e-file manicure, Gel-X application or infill and up to 2 art elements. Examples: French + gems, aura + gems, animal print accents, swirls, hearts, bows, mixed French designs and evil eye designs. Gel-X Advanced Art includes a detailed e-file manicure, Gel-X application or infill and up to 4 art elements. Examples: Multi-design sets, mixed art on every nail, multiple colours and finishes, crystal embellishments and detailed Pinterest-inspired designs. Using professional electric filing techniques, the cuticle area is carefully refined and the natural nail is prepared for Gel-X application. Single-use items are disposed of after each appointment, and all work surfaces are cleaned and sanitised throughout the day. Nail Mami follows strict hygiene and infection control practices to ensure every appointment is performed in a clean, safe and professional environment.
